Jemez / Isleta Pueblo

Tanya Chinana was born in 1987 and has been making pottery since 1994. She specializes in stone polished jars, fetishes and ollas with animal figures. She is the daughter of Charles Chinana of the Jemez Pueblo and Diane Wade of the Isleta Pueblo. She gathers her clay from the Pueblo, uses all natural slips and fires her pottery outdoors. She is also the niece of Donald Chinana from Jemez.
